"Lily just arrived on my doorstep. It felt like a gift from God--a newborn baby in a basket, O.K. well, a UPS box.
Thank you sooooo much! It'll take days to get this smile off my face.
I'm so glad to have found you. You certainly live up to everything you promise.
Now my job begins. Armed with a fantastic-looking book and an awesome website, how can I fail? In fact, I've already succeeded.
"

- Donna McNaughton, author Learn Along With Lily

"I just wanted to say it is such a pleasure working with you guys. This is a big project and investment for me, and I am 100% confident everything will come out perfect because I have you guys helping me. Thanks again."

-John Rosano, author Molly Monkey: Farmward Bound

"Thank you for your guidance and patience with me. As I have said before, I appreciate everything you all are doing/have done for me because I really do not know what I should be doing. The beauty of this entire process for me is that I have you all. Honestly, I have put this in your hands and sat back and watched you all do what you do. It is a relief for me, I have not stressed over this project since working with DragonPencil…not at all. It’s like having family take care of me. You know, pamper and nurture me. Talking about being spoiled, you all have done just that.

When I tell people how good I have been treated, how responsive you all are, nobody believes me. Some of them have worked with local publishers and have not had a stress free experience like I have. That’s why I can’t thank you all enough.

Tonight at Bible Study, I thanked God for allowing me to meet you all and for your commitment to excellent customer service and caring so deeply about helping others to succeed. Thank you…thank you."

- Carolyn Gray, author All about M.E. : Manners and Etiquette for Tweens and Teens

"Jerry, the story board looks good. Just as we discussed. Thank you for walking me through this."

- Dr. Patricia Hightower, author Play Pretty & Play Pals

"It all looks great. Seeing the cover really hit me hard that this dream of mine is coming true. You have no idea how that feels after all these years.

I am still amazed at how you operate, especially with the Book Creation Center. I feel very cared for and protected. So, thank-you."

- Lisa M. Yaldezian, author 500 Presents for Penelope Potts.

"The cover looks perfect! Just how I imagined!

Let me know if you need anything else from me. I’m very excited and you guys have been awesome to work with on this!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

- Cindy Martin, author Tryloc: The Quest

"I want to say to everyone, thank you for helping me with every step of the process. It is greatly appreciated."

~Marjorie Buehler Jaynes, author When the Circus Came to Town

"Thank you all – you have added so much to this project in the last couple weeks and I feel as though I am in good hands!"

Respectfully and Sincerely,
-Melissa Burnett, author The Binky Fairy

"Wow! You guys do great work! The books looks terrific! Thanks for all your hard work! I will tell everyone about Dragon Pencil and the great work you do."

-Jane Lovascio, author Casey and Bella Go To New York City

"Thank you so much for taking the time to read my book. Your words of encouragement are appreciated.

Most appreciated, however, is your good advice. I will, indeed, tie people down and make them read it aloud to me – ha ha. Seriously, though, you’re right: there is no substitute for someone else’s take on this, no matter how many times I have read it aloud to myself.

Part of my difficulty in assessing this book was whether to consider it a book to be read by kids or to kids. Thanks for clearing that up.

It’s nice to know someone else cares that my book should become all it can be.

I’ll be in touch."

- Donna

"Wow! They look fantastic! It is incredible to see your ideas go from sketches to this!
Great job."

- Gina Mirigliani, author The Bedtime Burger

How come it seems like only celebrities are getting publishing deals these days?
It is easier for a celebrity to get on TV because the show's producers realize people will want to see that celebrity, regardless of why they are there. This creates a free marketing opportunity for that celebrity's book. The publishers know this, of course, and for that reason they will always choose a celebrity's book over yours.

How can I compete with a celebrity's book?
First off, we are hoping that your book is better than theirs. Second, you will be focusing on different markets. Big publishers ignore the mom and pop book stores and niche markets. This creates a great opportunity for you to take advantage of.
