Book Distribution
A distributor gets your book into wholesalers and bookstores. Some have a sales people who visit bookstores or the buyers for book chains. Distributors are a middle man in the traditional book selling marketplace. They take between 25% and 35% of your net profits. If you didn't know this already, then you are probably new to publishing. And if you are new, we always recommend that you avoid the traditional marketplace. You can make just as much money per sale from on-demand books and ebooks while avoiding the huge expenses associated with the traditional marketplace. If you have more questions about the best fit for you, give us a call.
